Whats new in SAP Data Warehouse Cloud for 2022?

Data Marketplace

Data Marketplace allows sharing and integrating external data in DWC. Examples of external data include COVID-19 data, which allows you to understand the impact of location on infection rates, or competitors' stock data, which allows you to contextualize your company's results.

Using the Data Marketplace, you can search and buy products from data providers, but you can also become a supplier yourself and offer data to other users.

Shell Conversion for SAP BW

Another important milestone in SAP BW integration: Using Shell Conversion, it is now possible to transfer models from SAP BW and SAP BW/4HANA to SAP BW bridge. Transfer Cockpit helps in migrating selected data models to SAP BW bridge instances - Such objects can then be used for further modeling and / or imported as remote tables to SAP Data Warehouse Cloud.

SAP S/4HANA Entity import

If you want to use SAP S/4HANA Cloud data and reuse existing metadata and data without manually rebuilding it, this update is for you - You can now import existing entities from SAP S/4HANA Cloud into SAP Data Warehouse Cloud and then enhance them or build new models on top.

New modeling functions

The data modeling process was enhanced with many new features, including:

- You can now easily calculate values in different currencies with the Currency Conversion column in the Data Builder’s Graphical View editor.

- You can now easily create a local copy of an object using the Save As feature.

- You can set a default value for each of the input parameters.

New Business Content

Three new content packs have been added to DWC:

SAP Sustainability Control Tower - Helps you achieve your company's sustainability goals through enterprise-wide performance management

- SAP Intelligent Real Estate content is based on data from SAP Cloud for Real Estate and SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Contract and Lease Management. It Includes topics such as General Overview, Occupancy Management, Workspace Management, and Report List.

- The Sales Analytics for SAP S/4HANA on-premise package is based on sales and billing documents from SAP S/4HANA on-premise. It includes three scenarios: sales volume, profit margin, and incoming orders.
